Hey everyone, has anyone else noticed how much the weather has messed with their go-to coastal spots for cruising? I used to love heading out along the Mediterranean in late summer—those steady breezes and calm seas were perfect for lazy days on the water. But last couple of years, it's like the patterns flipped. Winds come in erratic bursts, or we get these sudden heavy downpours that weren't normal before. One trip we planned turned into dodging unexpected squalls that rolled in way off season. Kinda makes you rethink timing and prep. Anyone dealing with similar shifts in their favorite areas, like more unpredictable fronts or changed currents? Would love to hear what's happening out there.

Yeah, I've seen that too—our usual runs along the Croatian coast feel different now. Storms seem to hit harder and linger longer, and the wind direction isn't as reliable as it used to be for nice beam reaches. A few seasons back we had to reroute because of weirdly persistent offshore winds that just wouldn't quit. It's frustrating when you count on those classic patterns and they vanish. Lately I've been checking more forecasts obsessively and sometimes opting for https://getboat.com/ to grab a quick day charter closer in when the bigger passages look dicey. Feels safer than pushing it sometimes, though nothing beats your own boat on a good day. What about you guys, are you adjusting routes or just rolling with it?
